SWEET Cévennes ONION CONFIT

Toupine et Cabesselle manually selects “Redpidella” red onions grown without pesticides in the Cévennes. We then transform these onions into a sweet Cévennes onion confit with an enveloping and slightly caramelized taste.

Product Characteristics

• Natural ingredients: extra virgin olive oil and organic cane sugar;

• No preservatives: we keep aromas and nutrients intact;

• Velvety consistency: thanks to slow cooking over low heat.

However, we avoid thickeners and industrial processes, so each jar retains the true authenticity of the territory.

Production Method

1. We hand-pick the onions;

2. We carefully cut each bulb;

3. We stew the slices for over an hour;

4. We package each jar by hand.

In particular, this artisanal approach reduces waste and enhances the work of local producers.

• Appetizers: spread the confit on warm crostini and add blue cheese;

• Sandwiches and flatbreads: include it in a gourmet sandwich for a sweet touch;
